Razer Deathadder Infrared Gaming Mouse
The Razer Deathadder infrared gaming mouse, on first glance, looks like any other gaming mouse and maybe even a little sparse with the extra buttons. If anything it’s safe to say that this Razer gaming mouse seems a little on the boring side. But all is not as it seems and as the old adage says “It’s not about the quantity, but the quality”. This is very much the case with this mouse.
This Death Adder mouse feels so very comfortable when in your hand and thanks to it’s 3500 dpi 3.5G infrared sensor it seamlessly glides. Razer also boast about it’s polling rates of 1000 MHz Ultrapolling technology. This is 8 times faster than most gaming mice around as they poll at a rate of 125 MHz. Essentially this means the execution speed of the Razer Death Adder is 1 m/s compared to 8 m/s of the generic branded gaming mice. These two combinations are the perfect match and, indeed, a must for all gamers to keep one step ahead of their opponent.
There are a variety of Razer gaming mice variants out on the market at the moment including the 2013 edition, the standard edition, the left hand edition and both of the Transformers variants (Megatron and Optimus Prime). The one which many people will find interesting is that there is a left handed variant. In many cases there just no signs of a left handed gaming mouse but now all you lefties can rejoice and purchase with confidence.
This Razer gaming mouse in particular comes with a gold plated USB connector for better connection and a very long and lightweight braided 7 foot long USB cable. This will ensure that you’ll not be snagging the cable halfway through a critical point in your game!

Though the mouse is very comfortable, the use of plastic on the sides was a bad decision on Razer’s part. I personally am not fond of the gunk build up and the adjustments I have to make from sweating because of the plastic sides. I have a Logitech G500 ordered and on the way and I can see it replacing the Razer. However, I am not returning this mouse because it’s still a good, comfortable mouse and will either use it with my laptop, a future second pc, or may give it to my niece or nephew. If you don’t like dealing with the build up or will use the DPI a lot then this mouse is probably not for you. Otherwise, this is a solid mouse.
